What is MUM Squared?

MUMsquared (MUM2) is a story-sharing blog, discussion group, and community aimed at connect lesbian mums from around the world with the purpose of supporting all of us to be the most powerful women and mums we can be!

I've personally found it challenging to find really easily accessible information about same-sex fertility and the adoption process, and more specifically to find other lesbian mums with whom to share the experience, to learn from, and to share wisdom, so this blog is an attempt to connect all of us in a global MUM2 community.

As this is a community, we are looking for you to contribute in writing and in spreading the word. Please contact kara.mumsquared@gmail.com for more information.

The Journey Continues . . .

So yesterday it came again, 3 days early, and I'd had it all planned out. My wife and I had taken Christmas off trying to conceive through artificial insemination because we wanted to go on vacation, relax and regroup before attempting again (we attempted 4 times last year). And I had it all planned.

I'd go to NYC for a friends birthday, then to a training and development weekend in Dallas Texas, then about 5 days later, it would be time to inseminate again . . .only Mother Nature didn't have it happen that way!

Now it's back to the clinic for the Day 3 Ultrasound, and waiting . . . I'll keep you posted.

First Meet-Up Scheduled - Saturday February 7th

Although the intention of this blog is to globally connect lesbian mums in our journeys through fertility and adaption through to raising our kids, the first post I'm going write is about a local event (that I highly recommend you attend or bring to your own community, wherever you are in the world!).

MUM2 is hosting it's first ever local MeetUp event in West Toronto on Saturday February 7 from 10-11am in partnership with Repromed Fertility Clinics.

This event is going to meet-and-great for local GTA west mums and mums-to-be. There is no cost and all we ask is that you RSVP at the link below.
